The seasons are changing, which means that the winter sport season’s are almost here. Football, cross country, and soccer seasons are over, but swim, cheerleading, basketball and wrestling are soon to start up. Though in order to play there are a few standard requirements students need to meet.

As far as check ups and vaccinations go, none are needed. However, Students need to have proof of a recent physical (within 2 years). Students also must have proof of insurance and parent consent. Any student wanting to participate in any winter sport will need to pay a participation fee, and must pay 75$ per sport with a $200 family cap each year.

The reason these requirements are set in place is toensure students are safe and so that we can continue to fund our programs.” said Toby Walker, coach and athletic counselor here at PHS. If students choose to not follow or meet the standards, they will not be able to continue to participate”. The school is often very kind and flexible in regards to setting up a payment plan for families for the participation fees. Any and all students are allowed and encouraged to join any sport, but students need to realize that the  school is liable for each and every one of us. Failure to meet the standards, can cause big problems. So turn in the paper work! There are no exceptions to getting the paperwork in. the school is “willing to work with families on the participation fees portion”.

All items must be completed before the start of the second week of practices (November 21st).
