Tonight is the second night of the spring musical In the Heights. The cast and crew have been working hard since February to make
it a great performance for everyone to enjoy. Rehearsals are very productive and took place for many hours after school and on weekends to make sure they had everything memorized.
The cast has been successful in memorizing their lines and songs to perfect this show. With the songs being challenging to remember, the cast and music crew have worked hard to memorize their music.
The cast of the play are:
Trevor Ullrich will play the lead role of Usnavi
Tahiz Perezchica will play Vanessa
Jazmine Mathis plays Nina Rosario
Kim Kinney is playing Benny
Nathaniel Morales plays Sonny
Miss. Wright plays Abuela Claudia
Ana Para is playing Daniela
Felicity Kountz is playing Carla
Ariana Segura plays Camila Rosario
Sagean Stoker plays Kevin Rosario
Yasmin Conchas plays Graffiti Pete
Megan Forsyth plays the Piragua Guy
And Emily Weaver, Makenzie Hughes, Hayley Harrison, Kyle Cottrell, Bree Jones and Bailey Cory as Ensemble.
As for the dates and times, they are April 27-28 at 7:00pm, April 29 at 1:00pm, and May 4-6 at 7:00pm. The costs of the tickets in advance are $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $8 for seniors. But at the door, tickets costs $7 for students, $12 for adults and $10 for seniors. There is a special offer on opening night April 27, the theater department will be selling tickets for the price of one, for students.
The cast has been working really hard on this musical. Ms. Brown even claims that the cast has never been this prepared with any other show in the past. The theater department encourages not only those who love plays and musicals but everyone who is a part of the community to be sure and come see the spring musical “In the Heights.”
