This school year there have been many students who participated in sports. Some have been absolutely outstanding by completing at least one sport per season. These certain people are called Triple Sport Athletes. While training hard to compete in their sport, they also incredibly maintained their grades. The following people are Triple Threats:
Wattanai Amornsirikul, Yovanni Bazan Chavez, Samuel Brumble, Lindsey Burns, Maggie Carrillo, Ezra DeLuca, Alexis DiFruscia, Zachary Dungey, Seth Firestone, Elijah Galatioto, Nikolus Goff, Jonathan Halligan, Abigail Humphreys, Logan Jenkins, Elijah Leonis, Mateo Lopez, Madelene Marroquin Salazar, Clarice Mathewson, Leslibeth Mena, Jestyna Mosttler, Giselle Perez Hernandes, Thomas Skaff, Payton Stamm, Macie Thompson, Emma Truex, Justin Vermillion, and Nathan Watt.

The Triple Sport Athletes have many options as to what sport they want to participate in. For fall, there is soccer, cross country, volleyball, football, and cheer. In winter, the available sports are basketball, wrestling, swimming, and cheer. To finish up the school year, the spring sports athletes can choose from baseball, softball, track and field, golf, and tennis. In an interview with an outstanding triple threat, Jestyna Mosttler claims,”This year I have been involved with four sports, actually. I did soccer, cross country, swim, and track!” Phoenix High School wishes Mosttler luck with track and will cheer her on as she finishes her senior year with a bang!

In addition, Triple Sport Athletes will have a good looking transcript for colleges. If one was to win the award, it would attract a lot of scholarships for them. Being a triple sport athlete is very impressive and it shows that one is interacting with their communities. At the end of the day, they are one of the hardest working students at Phoenix High School. Lastly, Phoenix High School takes notice of these extraordinary athletes and awards them! After all of their effort they put into each sport, the students are eligible for the “Triple Threat Award.” They will get a chance to win on May 16th at 6:30 pm. During this time, there is a barbecue held at Phoenix High School. The Triple Sport Athletes can bring their families to this event so that their loved ones can support them. So be sure to wish these triple threats luck whenever you see them at school.
