The flowers will be in hanging baskets, pots, or in beautifully designed containers. Price ranges are from $2.50 to $30 depending on the size or amount you get. All of the FFA Mother’s Day Flower Sale money goes to the horticulture program to buy new plants to keep the PHS greenhouse running.

On May 7th, the school’s Leadership class will be hosting a luau that will be held in the north end of the football field from 3-6 pm and it promises to be an evening full of food, games, and fun! It is the first year Phoenix High School’s Leadership class has hosted a luau, and Emily Allen says, “It’s a teaser for even bigger plans next year.” The luau will have different homemade Hawaiian dishes; adult meals will be $7 and a kids meal will be $5. There will also be a variety of snacks. The school’s leadership class have been trying to do as many fundraisers as possible before the year ends, they are hoping that the luau brings in a lot of money so they can have even better fundraisers next year. In addition to food, the luau will have many different games and activities for people of all ages. So make your way to the school this Saturday and support both Leadership and FFA!
