On February 11th, 2016, Phoenix High School is having an assembly. The assembly is like any other assembly, full of spirit, cheers, and fun. It will be filled with fun activities and other cool things.

There will be the normal singing of the national anthem by a student with a fantastic voice, games between the students to see which grade truly is the best. There will also be a student vs. staff basketball game during the assembly so look forward to that. There will also be a funny sing off battle between the staff. Since the assembly is near Valentine’s Day, there might be something about that during the assembly. As always, of course there will be candy thrown to the students by the leadership.

The games at the assembly are always competitive, fun, and loud. 1 to 4 (depending on the game) students from each grade level can be chosen to participate in the fun activities. Those who play show great spirit for their grade level and are full of courage. Although a lot of the time the seniors win with high spirits and excitement, everyone gives it their best and has fun, and sometimes others show more enthusiasm than our beloved seniors.

Students vs. staff in anything is always funny to watch. The students in the sport they play go against some of Phoenix’s staff members. Some staff know how to play or know some things to do, and then there are those who do not know how to play or just flat out don’t know what to do. This assembly will be students vs. staff in basketball. Look forward for a lot of laughter and cheering for either the students or the staff.
