All District Band Concert Preview

The All District Band Concert is the Phoenix High School’s last band concert of the year. It is a big event for all the bands in the area. All of the Phoenix High School bands will be performing as well as the Talent Middle School band directed by Mrs. Robison. It will be happening on June 2nd at 6:30 in the PHS big gym.

The Phoenix High School bands that will perform are the concert band,symphonic band, jazz band, and percussion.  And the Talent Middle School bands that are performing are the Beginning band, Junior Varsity band and the Varsity band.

The Bands have rehearsing ever since the end of their last concert for this upcoming one. With them rehearsing at school and practicing at home for them to memorize there notes that they have to read to play the music.

There are going to be many songs performing at the concert and they are going to be great. The Jazz Band is going to be performing first with their songs being Move, Mack the Knife with Isaac Bergstrom singing along, and Feels So Good. Then the Talent Middle School Beginning Band will perform one song called Rondelay. But they will pair up with the TMS Junior Varsity Band and play Furioso. Then the TMS JV band will join up with the TMS Varsity Band and play two songs called Woodbridge Fair and Raiders March.After that, the Phoenix High School Bands and TMS Varsity Band will perform Jubilant Flourishes. Then the Phoenix High School Bands will Perform Young Person’s Guide to John Williams which consists of the Theme from Hook, Hedwig’s Theme, the Theme from ET, and Raiders March. After that, all the bands will combine for one final song. They will be performing The Great American Frontier. There will be many songs performed by the bands on that night and it will be a blast.

It is their last concert of the year. So come to the large gym on June 2nd at 6:30 to listen to live music and enjoy their show.
