The Outdoor Adventure Club is a club here at Phoenix High School. The club founder was one of Phoenix High School’s math teacher’s, Mr. Campagna himself. It is held in his room on the first Wednesday of every month during lunch in room S208. The reason the club only meets once a month is because Mr. Campagna knows that students have other things to do and didn’t want the weekly meetings to be burden on the students who might need to do other things.  Campagna said “It is a club of people who love to do things outdoors!”

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to join the club. Currently there are about 60 students signed up for the club and 20 showed up to the first meeting. If you really wish to join the club just talk to Mr. Campagna; he will give you all the information you will need to know. He wants students who know how to do things in the outdoors. He is eager for more students to join the club.

This club can go from hiking and biking to fishing and camping, if it’s outdoors it’s included! They are planning a November 6th trip to do a group hike in the sky lakes wilderness. They have other trips in mind like a camping and rafting trip for 2-3 days, but it doesn’t have a date just yet. There’re not many events planned at the moment for this club but they are thinking of doing a big summer trip and will be saving money for it by having fundraisers. They have a fundraiser set in December, it will be a Bingo Night. The date and time have not yet been picked, they will hopefully be coming soon. Hopefully you can all make it to the Bingo Night to support The Outdoor Adventure Club and to have a lot of fun!

Right now, Mr.Camagna has the help of Matt Saurman and Chase Courtney, they are working on how the club is going to work for those who want to do the summer trips. The club is in desperate need of a couple sponsors, the club doesn’t have any at the moment. They would like anybody that has an idea or anyone who might want to help out to let Mr.Campagna know. It would be greatly appreciated. They also need an artist to help come up with a shirt logo that would best represent the Outdoor club. He does however have a few artists in mind. There will be a prize for the artist who comes up with the best design! The prize will be a $25 gift card to Dutch Bros.

This is an amazing club that is only starting this year, so it needs some help and more participants. It’s a lot of fun and you would really be missing out on a great opportunity,  if you love the great outdoors as much as these people do, so come join and/or help support this new and promising club!
