Teacher’s appreciation week is just around the corner. The week where we show our appreciation to our teachers. This year teachers appreciation week will be happening on May 1st till the 5th. This gives plenty of time for students to show their teachers how much they appreciate them for what they have done during the year.

Teachers do a lot of things such as spending nights grading assignments, remembering many names, and giving out projects that we end up forgetting to say thank you. Their jobs intervene with their lives outside of school. Teachers are devoted to helping out kids and being able to teach a subject that they love. Sure they give their students homework and test us with multiple quizzes and tests, but that’s only to see if what they’re teaching is actually sticking with their students. Teachers have a lot on their plates, not only do they have to worry about their job they also have a separate life from being a teacher. They have to keep up with real life, and their school life. Not only do they have to create multiple worksheets and create notes in order to teach the next unit, they also have to remember 100+ names and be able to pronounce them correctly each and every single day. They have to deal with grades and grading a lot of assignments. At times teachers end up struggling to grade papers due to poor legibility, despite all the struggles they still grade everyone’s papers in time.

If you want to show your appreciation to your teachers there are multiple ways that you can do that. Some ideas can be cooking or baking a treat for them, or get them a drink. If you’re the artistic type then you can write them a letter, make a card, or draw a gift to them. You can even just say thank you. Anything would make them happy and make them feel appreciated.

Personally I would like to thank  all the teachers for the things that they do. All the grading, preparing slide  notes and being able to remember so many names. Thank you for coming early in the morning and sticking around after school and helping explaining to students when they need help. Thank you for making class interesting at times, and for creating great memories that will stick with me until the end. Thank you for being human and screwing my name up on the first day of school. Overall thank you for everything. So dear students, make sure you say thanks to all your teachers, they deserve it. They have done so much for us and this entire school so just say thanks. This is the end of this edition, see you in the next edition.
