Kings & Queens Dancing the Night Away

Oct 6th, 2017

By: Bella Hoye & Emily Waggoner

Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses welcome to homecoming for the year of 2017. While it is another year for all Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors; this is a whole new year for all those new Freshman. As the time is getting closer, we would like to inform you about homecoming. We will be covering a preview of the court and dance.

Before we talk to you about our dance, we would like to give you a sneak peak of our court premiering at our home football game tonight vs. Hidden Valley. There will be an organizing of halftime festivities and the announcement of the princess and prince who will be crowned king and queen. The Freshman princess and prince are, Scarlet Rodriguez and Cornelio Carrera. Sophomores, Anna Ellis and Dominic McGee. Juniors, Lizbeth Parra and Mason Stella. For seniors, our princesses are Kassidy Calhoun, Brooke Kentner and Samantha Hay, princes Kassem Akil, Ismael De La Torre and John Womelsdorf. “I think Brooke Kentner and J.T. will be crowned king and queen” said Angel Agulo.  All you students and staff come enjoy a night of football and presentations!

Then comes the dance. A night to remember, Saturday, October 7th, 2017. The semi-formal Homecoming dance will include drinks with an option of  food for purchase. Excessively short dresses and extensive bare skin will be turned away at the door. Sadly, no pajamas you slackers. No drugs or alcohol will be tolerated at the dance. Intoxicate yourself with music and dancing. It will be fun, trust me. There will be a DJ and songs by request. Mostly popular songs and some slow songs for all the couples out there. Only $10 to enter, come by 8 leave by 11. Dance the night away at PHS tomorrow evening.

To end this spirit week let’s show some more spirit by showing up to our football game tonight and the revealing of who will be crowned king and queen. Then proceed to appear at the dance Saturday night and show off them moves. Have a great ending to spirit week Phoenix High School.
