Congratulations! You almost made it to finish line. As we get closer and closer to the end of the school year we’ve hit that final home stretch and some of us can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. You’ve all worked so hard all school year and now it’s time to relax, unwind and enjoy some quality time with your friends and fellow classmates and look back and reflect on and celebrate what a great year it has been with one last great hoorah! What a perfect way to blow off some stress from all those countless nights staying up studying for that science test or finishing that major project then dancing the night away at Prom! Oh yeah, what an amazing year it truly has been and what a perfect way to celebrate at the end of the quarter!

The 2018 Phoenix High School Prom will be held at the Ashland Springs Hotel on April 14th from 8pm -11:30pm. The theme of Prom is inspired after the classic movie Casablanca set in Casablanca, Morocco who is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Prom is a formal event and formal wear is required to attend. If you are worried about affording the cost or a dress purchase or a tuxedo rental, then you are in luck. Our very own Mrs. Campbell is hosting a prom dress closet. This closet is free to any PHS student who might need help. In addition to formal attire, students must have a ticket to get in to prom.  Make sure to purchase your ticket by the end of the school day today, Thursday April 12th. Tickets will be sold for 20$ a piece and no tickets will be sold at the door.

Prom is only for Juniors and Seniors who are currently attending Phoenix High School. If you would like to bring someone who attends a different school or is not enrolled in high school you must fill out a dance guest registration form. All dance guests should be under the age of 20 and must get approved by our administration. The final day to get guests approved for prom will be Thursday April 12th. In addition to the upperclassmen of Phoenix High School, also be prepared to see a healthy dose of adult chaperones. Teachers and parents both will be on hand to make sure the night is a safe and enjoyable for all.

Our amazing Leadership class here at Phoenix High worked very hard to make this night possible for the students along with our very own Prom committee. These groups were spearheaded by Leadership teacher, Lisa Robin. Ms. Robin worked extremely hard along with the committee to come up with the theme of prom and to ensure that it will be a memorable night. In planning out the event, Ms Robin told us,“ we got the best venue in the valley, there will be catered desserts and an outdoor courtyard,” in addition she mentioned, “ The prom committee had a very long checklist, we met regularly to decide on the best decorations to match the theme.” We are all very grateful for the time and energy of our leadership class and our prom committee.

We hope you’re ready and dance the night away at Prom! Be a part of the most magical night at Phoenix High School. We can assure you that you’ll have a magical night. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity.
